Today’s college students have been formed in a period of intense partisanship and polarization, and this November many will experience a presidential election as voters for the first time. Are the students on your campus equipped to honor Jesus Christ in their political life and to engage in healthy dialogue across the political spectrum?

In an effort to set a tone of hopeful, humble, nonpartisan engagement on campuses this election season, Redeeming Babel has partnered with the Council for Christian Colleges and Universities to establish The After Party Ambassador Program. The program aims to heal toxic polarization by recentering our conversations on Jesus and to help Christians engage in politics—and even disagree with one another—in a way that honors Jesus.

• Two Ambassadors from each institution: one from the college/university administration and another from an academic department that aligns with the topic.
• Each Ambassador should be a trusted member of the campus community whose rapport with staff, faculty, and students will further the aims of The After Party.
• By strategically placing an Ambassador in both the administration and academic faculty, this program will bridge institutional silos in order to achieve the greatest possible buy-in on each campus.

• Model a humble, hopeful political outlook as an example to students.
• Collaborate with key administration and faculty stakeholders to embed The After Party in student programming.
• Host an on-campus event to promote The After Party to students. (Note: the event does not need to be explicitly about The After Party)
• Shepherd the implementation of your plan to embed The After Party and work to encourage hopeful, humble political engagement in the lead up to Election Day.

• Each Ambassador will receive a $1000 honorarium
• Limited funding will be available for event expenses
• Redeeming Babel staff will be available to lend strategic guidance
