Redeeming Babel is home to the highly popular Good Faith podcast, The After Party project, and other written, audio, and video content. We exist to help thoughtful, curious Christians make sense of a confusing world with hope, humility, and grace.
We are actively seeking a skilled Production Assistant to join our dynamic team. This role primarily supports the Good Faith Podcast, hosted by Curtis Chang, and other social and digital content initiatives produced by Redeeming Babel.
Position Overview:
The Production Assistant will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth production and delivery of podcast episodes, social media content, and other digital assets. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, creative, and experienced in podcast production workflows, guest pre-interviews, and managing content across platforms like YouTube Studio and Spotify for Creators.
This position is Nashville-based and requires a combination of occasional virtual meetings, remote work, and in-person collaboration in Franklin, Tennessee with Redeeming Babel’s Director of Content. Availability during U.S. Central Time business hours is preferred for team coordination. This part-time role is approximately 20 hours per week, and responsibilities may shift as necessary.
The pay range for the right candidate is between $20.00 and $25.00 hourly, based on previous experience and/or skills.
The Production Assistant will work closely—both remotely and in person—with Redeeming Babel’s Director of Content and the producer of the Good Faith podcast, DT Slouffman. A ten-time National Emmy Award winner and five-time International Television and Film Awards medalist, Slouffman has led teams at CNN, TIME, Sports Illustrated, and NBC Olympics. He now manages Redeeming Babel’s storycraft and digital content efforts.
* While creativity is important, the Production Assistant role is primarily focused on production management tasks. Candidates with an interest or background in faith-based or mission-driven media will receive primary consideration.

Key Responsibilities:
Audio/Video Podcast Production Support:
- Upload, schedule, and manage podcast episodes using Libsyn Pro (versions 4 & 5).
- Create and manage ad campaigns within Libsyn Pro.
- Review content for accuracy, clarity, and consistency before publication. This includes but is not limited to subtitle/captioning reviews, edit checks following producer and editor passes on each episode, and listening to the audio version of the podcast (on the platform of your choice) after it has dropped to flag any upload issues or glitches post production and upload.
- Proofreading podcast transcripts for publication and inclusion in the video version of Good Faith.
- Prepare and upload video content to YouTube Studio and Spotify for Creators (following the Spotify audio drop).
- Use VidIQ to optimize metadata (titles, descriptions, tags, and keywords) for discoverability, submit these for producer’s approval.
- Collaborate with the team to repurpose podcast content into engaging clips for social media, using Opus Studio.
- Researching notes, including hyperlinks, for inclusion in show notes.
- Using Chat GPT and key words from VidIQ to generate a weekly blog post supporting that week’s podcast drop.
Other Responsibilities:
- Supporting Director of Content/series producer with deliverables schedule and communications (mainly follow up).
- Sorting listener submissions for Good Faith’s “Campfire Stories” initiative, flagging possible interviews, engaging in initial outreach/pre-interview to determine if these warrant producer awareness.
- Creating shareable assets for weekly podcast releases, including images and quote cards.
- Creating and maintaining lists of current sponsorships and calls to action for show pages and website.
- Assisting with guest relations for podcast guests, from booking to episode release:
- Reaching out and scheduling/confirming interview dates.
- Managing assets (headshots, preferred links to guest’s social media, title and language confirmations) in advance of interview.
- Sharing the podcast release and graphics with guest once episode is released.
- Assist with occasional live events or virtual webinars hosted by Redeeming Babel.
Qualifications:
- Follower of Jesus who affirms the values of Good Faith.
- A passion for thoughtful, values-driven content creation.
- Familiarity With Libsyn Pro (versions 4 & 5) helpful, including ad campaign creation, episode uploading, and scheduling.
- Working knowledge of YouTube Studio and Spotify for Creators.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Familiarity with podcast production workflows and social media content repurposing.
- Familiarity with Canva, Frame.io, VidIQ, and Opus Vids a plus.
- Working knowledge of Google Suite.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with basic audio or video editing tools.
- Knowledge of analytics platforms (e.g., YouTube Analytics, Spotify for Creators).
- Working knowledge of the Adobe suite, including Premiere, is a plus.
- Interest or background in faith-based or mission-driven media.
